Wow! Do we have some great beads on the latest "Blessing Sticks"
Today, eight new sets of beads were mated with eight new hiking sticks. It's always fun choosing the leather hand grip and then coordinating the beaded strands of rawhide.
We have been able to obtain some amazing gemstone beads. One of my new favorites is aventurine, which has the color of the red rocks outside Ouray and Telluride. It is stunning when mixed with Dragon's Blood Jasper and a hint of obsidian. The other combination I'm really drawn toward is ovals of Ocean Jasper combined with various sized yellow turquoise and a hint of bronze bamboo-shaped beads.
Later this week we will have the latest hiking sticks up on the newly remodeled website. We just did our year end sales review and thanks to all of you and especially, Palladin Design, we sold more lamps, frescos, and antler mirrors than ever!
By the way, mention seeing this blog and receive 15% off any Blessing Stick on www.etsy.com/shop/lightshipsart.
Thanks for your support,
Dave

New "Blessing sticks" work great on ice and snow!
I just finished another batch of "Blessing" Sticks, my new line of hiking/walking sticks. When I was up at 9,000 feet on Hastings Mesa harvesting the deadfall aspen on my friend, Fred's property, I had to pause to look at the majesty that surrounded me. Mt. Hayden was on my left, Last Dollar Road below me and hoarfrost was covering the aspens quaking in the breeze. I'm so lucky to live here and be an artist in this glorious place.
Please keep checking my website and my etsy shop for new items. I'm working on my websites: lightshipsart.com and etsy.com/shop/lightshipsart to make sure they both reflect all of my work including lamps, frescos, mirrors, sculptures and, of course, "Blessing Sticks".
For those of you who read this post and contact me, I will give you a 15% discount on any walking stick featured on etsy.com/shop/lightshipsart . Hope you enjoy the work. Be sure to check out the new stainless steel/brass ice tip -- gorgeous and functional.
